Kery B.’s Favorite Things: Kitchen Edition

Nowadays, we are all spending a lot more time in the kitchen cooking, baking, and cleaning! So I thought this would be the perfect time to share a few of my favorite things in the kitchen! Some are rediscovered oldies, some are newly discovered treasures from my new hobby, #quarantine online shopping, and some are just things that make me smile! Checkout my list and see if you find a few things that make you smile too!

Starting with this picture of my Easter Sunday brunch! We have rediscovered having brunch together in our kitchen nook. It is one of my favorite spots in the house but, over the years we rarely ate together as a family.  Now that we are spending more time together we are enjoying the space and each other’s company!

Next up, is my MacKenzie-Childs Royal Check Tea Kettle! Let’s take a moment to welcome my new baby! Yep, this tea kettle has been on my kitchen “essentials” list forever! It is a required item for every lifestyle blogger’s kitchen, lol! It is definitely an “extra” but,  I am calling it my Mother’s Day gift…for now. The famous company makes iconic hand-painted items that add a little whimsy to your kitchen!
You can checkout their site here.

Fresh Cut Flowers: I am sure it is no surprise to you that I am enjoying fresh flowers in my kitchen and throughout the house! However, what I rediscovered is how beautiful the roses are in my small rose garden in the backyard! For years, I would just watch them grow and then fall to the ground before I could cut them. Now, I am on standby with my shears just waiting for them to bloom! They are magnificent in size and aroma! I am so grateful to have the time to stop and smell the roses!

Speaking of scents, I recently purchased this blueberry cheesecake cake candle from Big Lots, I really grabbed it for the blue and white color but, the scent is also nice and perhaps it will trick me into thinking I already ate a slice of blueberry cheesecake and stop me from baking, lol!

Which leads me to my Kitchen Aid mixer and my Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker! Both of these appliances normally get used about once or twice a year but, they have been a little busy lately! I am enjoying these fun kitchen items and I am glad I made the investment many years ago!

Can we just say, Anthropologie! The cuteness is more than a bored quarantined shopper can bare! Checkout these cute bowls, spatula, and knives!  In addition to being cute, they are super functional and the knives are nice and sharp! Who says kitchen tools have to be boring! These items were on clearance so they may not be available but, checkout their website for similar items here.

Well, if I got new knives, I needed a new cutting board…right !? I must have picked up a cutting board like this a million times in Home Goods and then I would put it back! Now I am “forced” to look elsewhere online!  No worries, Crate & Barrel to the rescue! This gorgeous baby was on sale and I am definitely loving it! Now, I go around looking for things to chop! It is definitively my incentive to eat more fruits and veggies! So it’s worth it!

With all of these new kitchen gadgets, I am washing more dishes…well to be honest, my husband washes more dishes but, I do most of the cooking so that is our deal! Checkout my cute kitchen Bubble Up set from Grove Collaborative!

Grove Collaborative is a collection of curated natural household products that you can have delivered to your door monthly or you can just buy them as you need them. I just love the Meyer’s Clean Day products, so I thought I would give them a try. I got the cute little Bubble Up dish scrubber and dish soap dispenser set along with a few other cleaning products. These cute items make dishwashing almost fun! You can checkout their website here for more information.

Now that I have all the fun gadgets, I need to stay organized and plan my meals wisely, so I got this little weekly meal planner from Vera Bradley. I use to put my grocery list in my cellphone notes but, now I try not take out my phone so much in the grocery store. I find that the old paper list is easier for me to handle and it has the meal planner right there! It is also magnetic so it sticks to my kitchen office memo board so I can add items as needed. You can checkout their website here.

Speaking of my kitchen office, I finally got around to cleaning it up! It is actually functional now! I removed all of the clutter from my desk area and replaced my old junk mail with wine bottles, I think it is a much better use of space, lol!

Finally, I must say I am really enjoying cooking at home and entertaining my little family! We have game nights, virtual wine tastings, movie night, and good old backyard BBQs!

You can follow me on Instagram @kerybstyle to see my regular updates and checkout my latest videos on my YouTube channel here, to see all of my shenanigans! I pray that we all have continued good health and wellness! We will get through this together! Until next time…

Stay busy being fabulous,

Kery B.
