My Favorite Things for Fall!

Hey Y’all,
It’s that time of year again when I get inspired to shop, decorate, and celebrate! This year I am sharing a few of my favorite things for fall! This is a hodgepodge list of decorating ideas, fashion favorites, recipes, and of course flowers! So here we go!
First, fall fashion! I love fall colors, hats, and boots! I think fall fashion is all about being comfortable and cozy while still being chic! Here is a fun look that pulls all those things together!

I paired my favorite hat from Nordstrom Rack with this outfit from Ann Taylor’s Loft one of my go to favorite places to shop! These soft corduroy pants come in a variety of colors and I just love the olive green with this light purple blouse. Everything was 40% off so I was a happy camper! My light grey open toe booties are by Halogen from Nordstrom.

I had a blast strolling around beautiful Folsom California with my family! It was such a gorgeous fall day. Just look at this beautiful tree! Which leads me to my second fall favorite, fall leaves!

I really enjoy seeing the trees change to all of the fall colors! In Southern California we don’t get to see many fall leaves with all of the palm trees in our area, so I really enjoyed visiting my son in Northern California and seeing all the beautiful colors of fall. I was able to capture a little of that fall feel in this wreath I created for my front door!

I used fresh greenery and fall foliage to create this look that will dry nicely and last for the season! It was so easy to make and I can’t wait to show all of my flower friends how to make their own wreath at my next Blooms & Bubbly. If you are in the Los Angeles area, come join the fun! My next fall favorite is sipping fall inspired cocktails, coffee, and tea! Here are a couple of my favorites:

Autumn Apple Moscow Mule Recipe:

Combine 1 1/2 oz. Crown Royal Regal Apple and 3 oz. ginger beer in a mug or highball filled with ice.

Add 1/4 oz. lime juice and stir.

Garnish with an apple slice.

Lately, I have been enjoying Honey Vanilla Chamomile tea! So good!

Finally, what would fall be without a good Pumpkin Spice Latte or Coffee!  It is especially nice in my little fall fox mug!

Speaking of pumpkins…

Next up on my list is fall decorating with pumpkins! I just love how decorating for fall is not limited to traditional colors! From soft blue to plaids, pumpkins real or faux come in so many colors and can be used throughout your home. Here are a few pics of my pumpkin decor.

Finally, my last fall favorite is celebrating with family!  Our family has a lot to celebrate in the fall! My birthday, my kids’ birthdays, our wedding anniversary, and of course Thanksgiving! With all of the celebrations, I love to create a fall tablescape that is great for family gatherings!

This year my fall tablescape features a harvest themed floral arrangement with beautiful red roses, purple dahlias, apples, and pears. I even used pears to make name tags for each place setting with a small leaf and mini clothespins!

We also made this arrangement at my last Blooms & Bubbly Floral Arrangement Workshop! The ladies did a fabulous job!
