Finding the right summer shorts can be a challenge! As I get older, it seems like the shorts are getting shorter! Just this past weekend I was shopping for a pair of shorts and found some that had a 5 inch seam. I thought, yes…finally, shorts that should be long enough! It was much better than the 3 inch and 4 inch seams that I had come across early that day.
I rushed to the dressing room excited to try them on and ….OMG! What happened to my legs?? Who stole my firm cheerleader thighs and replaced them with these jelly jigglers!? Clearly, I needed a 10 inch seam at least, LOL! Now don’t get me wrong, I feel like you can rock “hot pants” if you want to at any age…go ahead and strut your stuff! However for me, I prefer my shorts to be a little longer. Needless to say, I passed on the shorts and opted for my walking shorts I found at Last Chance on my trip to Arizona.
They are comfortable and just the right length for me. I paired them with my cobalt blue and white top from Anthropologie. I just love that store! They have such unique designs and there is always something new! It just so happens that one of my favorite bloggers, Glenda, also featured a beautiful top from Anthropologie this week on her blog – So What to Twenty! Check it out, here.
I found my jewelry at a consignment store on a business trip to Boston. This necklace has become one of my favorite pieces!
Whew!! I thought I would have to stay in jeans all summer! However, now I have a new workout goal – get my cheerleader thighs back!! Time to go back to my Zumba class!
I hope you enjoyed this post, have a great Wednesday folks!
Stay busy being fabulous,

Aw, thanks for the shout-out, Kery! Really cool top. I can see why you snatched it up. It’s so hard to decide what to get in a store where everything is simply gorgeous. I wish I could have it all. As for the shorts, you look great lady. I like both long and short-shorts. I figure – I’ll wear them until they don’t look good anymore.
