I love to wear my denim skirt in the spring and summer but, wearing a denim skirt in the winter can be a little tricky! Here are a few tips on how to wear a denim skirt in the winter:
1. Start with a cute pair of tights! I have them in black, brown, and gray. However, I thought it would be fun to buy a pair in burgundy! This has been one of my favorite colors to wear this season! I usually buy my tights from The Loft or Ann Taylor, they are thick and last a long time! 
2. Pair your denim skirt with a sweater or turtleneck.. I decided to wear my skirt with a turtleneck for warmth and it was easy to tuck inside the skirt and highlight the belted waist.

3. Wear your denim skirt with a pair of boots or booties. In general, the shorter the skirt… the taller the boots, so I decided to wear my taller brown boots. However, a pair of booties would be fine too!
4. Add a few winter accessories like scarves and hats! I love this multi-colored knit scarf! I pull it out every winter and it blends in with so many of my sweaters and tops. I also borrowed this large burgundy handbag from my daughter to bring out the burgundy in my outfit.
Now in California, a pair of sunglasses are still a necessary winter accessory, LOL! Although we have been getting a lot of rain lately, we still have quite a few sunny winter days! So for all of my family and friends experiencing “real” winter weather stay warm and of course…

I actually donated all of my denim skirts – I need to hit up Goodwill to replace it because they are great with boots in the winter.
