Black and White Style-Work it Wednesday

This week I thought I would keep it simple in black and white style.

I was excited to find this top at the Kate Spade outlet.  At first, I thought I would wear it with jeans or even a bright colored pair of pants. White is so versatile that it was hard to decide what to wear. Finally, I thought to myself…you can’t go wrong with black and white! Once I figured that out, I pulled out my lace up black shoes and that was it! The outfit came together!

I found these shoes at Ann Taylor on one of their 40% off the entire store days. The nice thing about these shoes is you don’t have to untie the laces. There is a nice zipper in the back for easy off and on wear. It’s the cool details that take a shoe from good to great!

In keeping with the black and white theme. I pulled out this cool necklace and earring set I found at an African festival in Leimert Park over the summer. There are often really cool vendors that feature African jewelry, fabrics, and more. Leimert Park is also where I got my fabric for my African skirt I made. It is time to get back to my sewing. I started sewing another skirt but I have not had the time to finish it yet.  I think that will be on my “to do” list for the weekend! Well, I hope you have enjoyed this black and white style Wednesday!
