My trip to Boston, Home Sense, and Duck Tour Adventures!
This was my third trip to Boston for a work retreat but, it was the first time we had a little time to see the city.
Boston is such a historic city and I discovered the best way to see it is on a Boston Duck Tour!
What is that you ask? It is a “land to sea” guided tour of the city on a vehicle that goes through the city then the wheels go up and you are on the water cruising the Charles River in the heart of Boston!
The views you get of the Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge are amazing! The tour takes about an hour and a half and it is really a fun experience! So if you want to tour Boston, this is the way to go! See link here.
After the tour, my colleagues and I walked around the city and enjoyed a delicious meal. You definitely have to try the “Chowda” and a lobster roll when you are in Boston! We also went to a restaurant called Legal Sea Foodsand it was great! The Seafood in Boston is amazing! Shrimps the size of golf balls!
One evening I decided to hop into an Uber and take the 30 minute trip (when there is no traffic, lol) to Framingham, Massachusetts to visit an amazing store called Home Sense!
Home Sense is the mega sister store to Home Goods that just opened in Massachusetts! It’s like Home Goods on steroids!Instead of one small area of accent furniture, they have a ton! Everything has a whole section instead of just an aisle like in Home Goods!
Just racks and racks of Home Goods treasures!
Too bad they are not on the west coast yet! It was definitely fun to browse there! The link to their stores and locals, here.
Well, that was my Boston adventure by land and by sea! I hope you enjoyed this post! Thanks colleagues for a fun and memorable trip!
I enjoy having coffee or tea in the morning but, I also enjoy a nice cup of coffee at night after dinner! I usually drink decaf so I am able to go to sleep without a problem. On most mornings, I am rushing out of the house and I don’t have time to stop for coffee, so I decided to setup a DIY Coffee & Tea Station that is functional and saves money…bye, bye Starbucks, lol! Checkout my quick video to see how I put everything together.
If you are looking for the ultimate dining experience and ready to take your taste buds on a culinary journey of exquisite cuisine, then look no further than Soul Hollywood Restaurant & Bar,the long awaited premier restaurant by founder, Yealang Smith. Continue reading →
I have really enjoyed trying new techniques with my floral arrangements! This time I used grocery store flowers with a tea leaf wrapped in the vase to create a beautiful arrangement. I was in a passionate purple and blue mood this week…checkout my video!
I finally had an opportunity to take another sewing class! If you have been following my blog, you know I decorated a sewing space in my daughter’s room and took my first class last year. You can checkout my sewing room here. Unfortunately, I have not touched my sewing machine in months! So when my sister mentioned that she was taking a class called Sip and Sew with Stitched By Shay… I jumped at the opportunity! Continue reading →
I love flowers! I think it started when I got to be the flower girl in my uncle’s wedding when I was about 6 years old. My family says that I barely wanted to drop the rose petals from my basket. I guess I did not want to let them go!Continue reading →
So our old barbecue grill finally gave out after 15 years of grilling! I loved that grill but, it was definitely time to get a new one. After looking around at different models, we decided to go with the Weber Spirit. We got it at Lowe’s with free assembly and delivery so we were happy campers! After the grill was delivered, I could not wait to fire it up and try this Shrimp Boil and Foil Packets recipe I saw on Facebook!Continue reading →
Let’s Flamingle! This was the theme for my flamingo themed pool party that I hosted to raise money for a great charity, promote my wine tasting business, and just have fun! Take a look at my video to see how to throw a fabulous flamingo pool party!
The votes are in and the tea tables were fabulous! The Los Angeles Community Church Annual Tea Table Competition was another huge success! This year, the event was held at the beautiful Knox Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles which was the perfect setting for this amazing event. The ladies came dressed and ready for tea! The table hostesses did a wonderful job with creative table designs and yummy food! It was the perfect way to kick-off spring! Everyone was a winner in this competition because the event supported an amazing charity called Forgotten Children, Inc. Their mission is to rescue, restore, educate and bring hope to victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. The event was sponsored by The Cochran Firm and supported by various local vendors. The afternoon was filled with beautiful music, fellowship, sisterhood, and a moving message on the power of prayer! Please enjoy some of the amazing pictures of the tea tables from this extraordinary event!
