Recipe Review: Shrimp Boil and Foil Packets

So our old barbecue grill finally gave out after 15 years of grilling! I loved that grill but, it was definitely time to get a new one. After looking around at different models, we decided to go with the Weber Spirit. We got it at Lowe’s with free assembly and delivery so we were happy campers! After the grill was delivered,  I could not wait to fire it up and try this Shrimp Boil and Foil Packets recipe I saw on Facebook!

The recipe was very easy to follow and cooked up fast on the grill.  I did make a few substitutions to the recipe such as, beef smoked sausage instead of andouille sausage and frozen corn niblets instead of fresh corn,  just to use what I had on hand.  I also added a little Emeril’s Essence Seasoning with the Old Bay Seasoning. I love when a recipe mixes up in one bowl and you have a whole meal in one packet! You can also substitute or add your favorite vegetables or use turkey sausage links, whatever you prefer!  However,  it was perfectly delicious with just shrimp, corn, sausage, and potatoes!

Once you have all your ingredients mixed together and seasoned. You can put your foil packets on the grill or bake them in the oven. The recipe made four generous foil packets and we were full on one each!

It was so juicy and flavorful!!  The browned melted butter on top with fresh lemon juice is a must! I highly recommend you give this recipe a try!

With that said,  I am ready to fire up the grill again!  This time just some hot dogs and hamburgers!  By the way, I love the grill!  Good construction, even heat, and easy to clean. I  hope it will last another 15 years like my old one, LOL! Okay family, see you all on the 4th of July…Mama’s got a new grill!!
