I am on vacation! Whoo hoo!! So I thought today would be a good day to do a little “throw-back” post on my laid back flannel shirt! This was from about a year ago but flannel shirts are still all the rage! Right now Old Navy has some great deals for Black Friday on flannel shirts that will make you want to grab a bunch!

At first, I shied away from wearing flannel shirts because I thought they may not be “age appropriate”. However, one of the things I have learned from blogging about 40 plus fashion is there really is no such thing as 40 plus fashion, LOL! You don’t have to worry about being “age-appropriate” just wear what makes you feel great! 40 plus fashion is all about finding your own style and having the confidence to wear it.
I often wear my flannel shirts like a little jacket to create a layered look. I also paired it with my distressed jeans, edgy gray booties, and my classic Junior Drake pewter handbag. I think it goes well with my brushed sliver tone jewelry.
I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner and more importantly an opportunity to see family and give thanks for all of our blessings. I want to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving! Love the outfit. Junior Drake is one of my favorite handbag designers…and you know my other one! So I am in my upper 50s (weird typing that) and I will get my flannel shirt!
