When I have an opportunity to get together and celebrate… I go all out! This month it was my turn to host book club, so it was the perfect opportunity to plan something fun! Occasionally, we don’t read a book and have an “activity” instead-don’t judge us, LOL! Paint and sip parties are very popular now but usually you have to make reservations well in advance and it can be very pricey to rent a private space for a small group, so I decided to host my own paint and sip party right at home! I finally made it to The Broad! A few weeks ago I took a day off for a MEcation (a vacation all by myself). I originally planned to go on a weekend with the hubby. However, tickets for the weekend were booked for months. So I decided to take advantage of a weekday opening and head to the museum on my own! Continue reading →
I am only 5′ 2″ so when I find a maxi dress in a petite length I grab it! I was excited to find this dress at the Banana Republic outlet store. It was 40% off and most importantly, it was the perfect length! Continue reading →

I was never a beauty product gal, I was more of a soap and water kinda chick! However, over the last few years I feel like my skin and hair care needs are definitely changing. I find myself browsing the beauty aisle a lot more and looking for products that will work to keep my skin and hair healthy. Luckily, my skin is not too sensitive so I am able to experiment with different products. However, everyone’s skin is different so you definitely have to find what works for you. I started experimenting with a few tips from my dermatologist then I went to ULTA beauty to browse their hugh selection of products.
I am often asked about my skincare routine and I wanted to update you on my natural hair journey. I thought I would share some of my favorite products in a three part series on skin, natural hair, and make-up.Continue reading →
Finding the right summer shorts can be a challenge! As I get older, it seems like the shorts are getting shorter! Just this past weekend I was shopping for a pair of shorts and found some that had a 5 inch seam. I thought, yes…finally, shorts that should be long enough! It was much better than the 3 inch and 4 inch seams that I had come across early that day. Continue reading →
